July 16 | 9 AM - 2 PM | Community College of Beaver County
Legacy Day is a structured enrichment opportunity for Extended School Year (ESY) participants, designed to strengthen postsecondary readiness and transition planning.
Held at the Community College of Beaver County, this one-day program offers a goal-aligned environment where students can engage in meaningful skill development, explore career and education pathways, and practice self-determination in real-world contexts. The experience is built to support IEP-driven outcomes, foster informed choice-making, and expand each participant’s vision for life after high school.
Intentionally structured for students in grades 9 through 12+ with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Legacy Day aligns directly with postsecondary transition goals and Indicator 13 standards. The program combines personalized support with applied, age-appropriate activities that reinforce IEP-driven outcomes across career readiness, independent living, and education planning.
Participants engage in targeted skill-building and campus-based exploration designed to promote self-advocacy, informed decision-making, and next-step clarity, all within a welcoming, real-world environment that supports long-term transition success.
Beaver County is home to over 800 students supported by Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). However, a significant portion of the population remains disengaged from the workforce.
Legacy Day is designed to address this challenge by offering tools, experiences, and connections that open doors to a brighter future for each participant.
By immersing participants in a college campus setting, Legacy Day provides an opportunity to explore career possibilities, build independence, and develop life skills, all within a vibrant, supportive community.
This program is a one-of-a-kind experience, offering a safe, creative space where individuals can develop confidence, explore new passions, and build lasting connections for the future.
Legacy Day is a community-driven initiative aimed at building a future where individuals are empowered to live independently and achieve economic mobility. By providing an integrated experience on a college campus, Legacy Day opens doors for participants that otherwise may not be possible.
This is the beginning of something bigger. A transformative opportunity for individuals, families, and the broader Beaver County community.
Legacy Day is a springboard for new possibilities, a celebration of each participant’s potential, and an investment in a brighter future.
Always You.
