 Through ImpactWorks, our Workforce Readiness Program in partnership with the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC), participants embark on a transformative journey guided by the Pillars of Excellence, the foundation of all our programs and initiatives.

Specifically designed for individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability and/or autism, this collaboration offers access to a vibrant, inclusive college environment where participants are empowered to learn, grow, and thrive. The program fosters personal and professional success in settings that promote confidence, independence, and connection.

Participants become active members of CCBC’s welcoming campus community, engaging in experiences that develop resilience and unlock their potential. Through mentoring, hands-on learning, and meaningful opportunities, they gain the skills necessary for career advancement and personal fulfillment.

ImpactWorks bridges the gap between education and employment, delivering a suite of opportunities including job shadowing, internships, vocational training, and mentorships tailored to align with individual strengths and goals. These experiences empower participants to pursue meaningful careers, explore entrepreneurial ventures, and make valuable contributions to their communities.

Beyond individual growth, ImpactWorks drives economic benefits by preparing participants to enter the workforce as skilled, confident contributors. Participants gain the opportunity to explore and prepare for competitive employment through tailored programs that emphasize skill development, workplace confidence, and career exploration.

This partnership extends beyond workforce preparation by offering access to a variety of recreational and enrichment activities that foster personal growth, creativity, and social connections in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

New for this year, we are proud to introduce summer camp experiences at Sarah Heinz House, where participants can immerse themselves in hands-on learning, build meaningful relationships, and engage in enriching activities. These experiences are thoughtfully designed to promote confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Root Camp Experience: A Retreat for Renewal and Empowerment

Our collaboration with the Root Camp Experience is an integral part of the Always You Wellness program, providing a serene and transformative retreat for individuals and caregivers. 

Nestled in a tranquil natural environment, Root Camp is designed to nurture wellness, restore balance, and foster growth in alignment with our Pillars of Excellence: Wellness and Vitality.

Through this partnership, participants engage in thoughtfully curated wellness activities that rejuvenate and empower. From guided mindfulness practices to therapeutic sessions and personalized self-care experiences, Root Camp inspires a profound sense of renewal, energy, and vitality.

Caregivers find a sanctuary at Root Camp, where they are encouraged to pause, reflect, and prioritize their own well-being. Recognizing their unwavering dedication to loved ones, the retreat offers resources and experiences designed to restore energy, promote resilience, and enhance quality of life.
