A Pathway Designed for Impact
YES, Always You! is a community-based postsecondary transition program designed to support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) across Beaver County. Created in partnership with the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit and housed on the campus of the Community College of Beaver County, this initiative equips students in grades 9 through 12+ with the tools, experiences, and relationships they need to navigate life beyond high school with confidence and purpose.
YES, Always You! brings school systems, families, and regional assets into alignment, delivering intentional, structured experiences that prepare students for real-world success.
- College-Based Setting
Students participate in programming on a college campus, gaining exposure to higher education, independence, and a vibrant learning environment that reflects their potential.
- Career Exploration and Workforce Readiness
Through interactive workshops, guest speakers, and hands-on activities, students explore career pathways, build employability skills, and develop a vision for their future.
- Life Skills and Independent Living
Programming includes skill development in areas such as communication, time management, social navigation, financial literacy, and self-advocacy.
- Family and School Collaboration
School districts coordinate transportation, and family engagement is built into the program model. Students remain connected to their IEP teams and school supports while participating.
- Events That Celebrate Progress
The pilot year includes two celebration events recognizing student growth and transition milestones. Each event reinforces community connection and personal achievement.
Why It Matters
In Beaver County, 72 percent of working-age residents are not currently engaged in the workforce. YES, Always You! provides a direct, measurable solution, advancing postsecondary transition, strengthening talent pipelines, and promoting lifelong economic mobility for students who have traditionally faced barriers to opportunity.
This initiative aligns with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and Pennsylvania’s 10-Year Economic Development Strategy.
