Preparing emerging talent through structured access to leadership.

In the Board Room of President Roger W. Davis at CCBC, Dr. Keely Baranok of Carlow University, Dr. Miisha Reid, and regional philanthropic leader Dr. James DeNova joined participants for a conversation about the transition to adulthood, self-advocacy, staying teachable in new environments, and the determination required to pass a driving exam.

The following month, Jonathan passed his driving exam, earned his license, and purchased a vehicle. He now drives himself to Always You sessions, activities, and appointments throughout the county.

Ami Gatts, President of the Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board, joined Always You participants at the Titan Café for a morning conversation centered on career potential and workforce innovation. 

Participants introduced Ami to the Inspire Cart, our mobile social enterprise, demonstrating their professional skills, brand storytelling, and commitment to workforce excellence.

Ami was so impressed by the participants' competence and leadership that she immediately moved to ensure that Job Training Beaver County and OVR supports were fully aligned to provide wages and work-based learning opportunities. 

This visit turned a morning conversation into a concrete workforce pathway, proving that when leaders engage directly with emerging talent, they don't just see potential, they invest in it.

At the Titan Café on the Community College of Beaver County campus, Drue Flora, Regional Director of the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, met with Always You participants to discuss career pathways and workforce readiness. 

Following the conversation, two participants became OVR Youth Ambassadors, with compensated work-based learning and opportunities to advocate for OVR programs.

On the campus of the Community College of Beaver County, Jennifer Marino, CEO of Flourish Beaver County, met with participants at the Titan Café to discuss nonprofit leadership and community investment. 

The conversation highlighted how listening, collaboration, and shared commitment can expand opportunity for young people and strengthen communities.

At the CCBC Dome career fair, former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, entrepreneur, and community activist Charlie Batch visited with Always You participants at the Inspire Cart. 

He expressed how proud he was of what they have created through the social enterprise and the work they are doing in the community. 

We look forward to welcoming him back for a deeper conversation.

Joel Gray, formerly with the Pittsburgh Pirates, joined participants in the CCBC Titan Café  to discuss the regional impact of hosting the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh and the importance of civic pride.

 Joel also filmed a cameo for the upcoming Always You Anthem music video.

Beaver Falls Mayor Kenya Johns joined participants at Vesuvius for a holiday luncheon that convened women in leadership for dialogue centered on civic engagement and representation.

The conversation offered participants a closer look at how women leaders help shape their communities, and why their voices belong in public life.

During a Beaver County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Beaver County cohort session at the Sisters of St. Joseph in Baden, participants spoke with Stephanie Meanor, Innovation Manager of Beaver County LaunchBox, powered through Penn State Beaver, about innovation and regional growth. 

Stephanie and the LaunchBox will support Always You participants as they develop the Always You Adventures book series—heartwarming stories centered on belonging and representation. Stay tuned.

Marie Timpano of The Cornerstone of Beaver County and Rachel Crisci of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County, both longtime nonprofit executive directors, met with Always You participants to discuss nonprofit leadership, community needs, and sustaining mission-driven work. 

Participants explored how trusted organizations build relationships, respond to changing needs, and make a lasting difference in the community.
